The rules, step by step
Setup
To set up the game, first arrange the game board on a flat surface. Shuffle the different colored card decks and place them next to the board, matching them to their respective colors. Divide all players into teams of at least two players each. Each team then chooses a pawn and nominates one player who will be the first to draw for their team.
Objective
The main objective of the game is for your team to be the first to reach the finish line on the game board. To do this, you must successfully draw or mime the words and phrases found on the game cards, allowing your teammates to guess them correctly and advance your pawn.
On your turn
The team that starts the game (decided randomly or by agreement) rolls the die and moves their pawn the corresponding number of spaces. The nominated player from that team then draws a card from the deck matching the color of the space their pawn landed on. This player must then draw or mime the word or phrase on the card for their teammates to guess.
Scoring
There is no time limit for drawing or miming. The first team to correctly guess the word or phrase wins the round. The winning team then moves their pawn the number of spaces indicated by the die roll. If no team manages to guess the word, all players decide by common agreement which team was closest to the correct answer, and that team wins the round.
Game end
Teams continue to take turns, drawing cards, guessing, and moving their pawns. The first team to successfully navigate the board and reach the 'Finish' space is declared the winner of the game. Be careful not to skip over the 'Stop' space, as it has special rules.
Tips
The player who is drawing or miming is strictly forbidden from speaking, miming (unless it's a pink 'action' card, which is an optional rule for all pink cards), or writing any words on their drawing board. Only symbols and numbers are permitted. There are special 'short' and 'marathon' spaces on the board where teams can choose their preferred route. Additionally, there is a 'stop' space where all teams must halt, regardless of their die roll, and can choose any card from any color deck. From the 'stop' space to the finish, all teams can only move one space per round. The rulebook also contains additional optional rules, including those that may involve drinking, which players can choose to include or exclude from their game.
