Hansa Teutonica

The game is set up for Northern Germany by placing the main board, one black tile, player-specific tiles, bonus tiles, and player boards. Each player organizes their yellow pieces on their player board into a general supply at the top and play-order stocks below, determined by player count.

Players act as medieval merchants competing to spread influence and prestige across Northern Germany. The ultimate goal is to accumulate the highest number of prestige points by establishing trade routes, controlling cities, and upgrading player board abilities.

A player's turn consists of performing a set number of actions, starting at two and increasing through upgrades. Available actions include income (gaining supply pieces), placement (putting pieces on trade routes), displacement (removing opponents' pieces for a cost), replacement (moving pieces between routes), and creating trade routes or upgrades.

Scoring happens continuously and at the end of the game. Players earn prestige points for completing trade routes, claiming upgrades, utilizing bonus markers, achieving west-to-east connections, and controlling specific cities and networks.

The game triggers its end-game when a player reaches 24 prestige points, all bonus tiles are depleted, or a city fills its 10th spot. Once triggered, the current round finishes and final scores are calculated using a notepad.
