The Dutch bees need your help! Their habitat is shrinking, and now wasps are starting to bother them as well. This must be stopped. Surround the larvae with honey to protect them from the wasps so they can no longer be stolen!

In Honey Wall, you try to score points by surrounding bee larvae with honey. By rolling dice, you can draw larvae or honey on your game board. If you roll a wasp, you may steal larvae from your opponent that are not surrounded by honey and score points with them at the end of the game. Large groups of larvae are worth more points, but they are also more vulnerable to wasps from your opponent. The player who has scored the most points with larvae at the end of the game wins!

Each player receives their own sheet with a game board. On this board, players draw their own area with larvae and honey. A turn consists of four phases: a dice phase, a honey and larvae phase, a wasp phase, and a flower phase. When it is a player’s turn, they begin by rolling 2 or 3 dice (depending on which have been unlocked by the player). The player may reroll one or more dice once before moving on to the next phase. The second phase is the honey and larvae phase. In this phase, all dice showing a honey or larvae symbol are resolved. The active player colors in spaces on their board where possible to place honey and larvae.

After this comes the wasp phase. During the wasp phase, the player may try to steal larvae from other players. If a larva is not fully surrounded by honey, it is vulnerable to wasps and can be stolen. A player who rolls one or more wasps may place a wasp symbol on other players’ boards to indicate that a larva has been stolen. At the end of the game, stolen larvae give points to the player who stole them.

In the final phase, the flower phase, the active player checks whether they have completed a flower on their board. If so, they may move up one step on the tree at the bottom of the board to unlock bonuses. After this phase, the next player takes their turn, and play continues until an end condition is met.

The game ends immediately when a player has either two areas with seven or more enclosed larvae each, or five areas with fewer than seven enclosed larvae each. The player who has collected the most points from (stolen) larvae wins the game!
