Imperium: Legends

To set up Imperium: Legends for solo play, you first select your nation and the bot's nation. Prepare your player zone with your power card, nation cards, and development deck, while setting up the general zone with market piles, disturbance cards, fame cards, and regional decks. Place the starting resource tokens—population, progress, activation, and exhaustion—near your player area. Position the bot's market trackers under the market cards and arrange the market and common decks with the correct number of cards depending on the player count. Finally, place the hostility card between you and the bot to govern timing.

The goal in Imperium: Legends is to build a thriving civilization and accumulate more victory points than your automated opponent. You do this by advancing through your civilization's development, acquiring powerful cards into your deck, establishing regions, and scoring points through various endgame conditions and card values.

Your turn proceeds just like a standard multiplayer game. During the bot's turn, you roll a die and place it on the matching market space. You then consult the rulebook's table for the bot's chosen nation to resolve its action, checking symbols from top to bottom. Bold text refers to the player, while regular text affects the bot. You then execute purchases, exile or recover cards as instructed, and advance progress or market tokens during the maintenance phase.

Scoring happens at the end of the game by totaling points from various sources. Progress tokens are worth one point each, and material tokens convert at a one-to-one ratio. You also score points from cards in your hand, play area, history pile, and discard pile, while bot cards with asterisk symbols grant fixed values, and question-mark cards give points depending on specific conditions.

The game triggers an end when specific conditions are met, such as the exhaustion of the common or dynasty decks, the final flip of the King of Kings card, or the occurrence of a collapse due to running out of disturbance cards.
