Katamino Tower

To set up Katamino Tower, completely disassemble the existing tower and place the pieces in front of you. Next, select a challenge from the booklet or the card deck. Beginners are advised to start with the basic color-progressive challenges, taking blue and yellow for a two-floor tower, and then adding green, red, and purple for higher levels. Alternatively, you can choose advanced level challenges that specify exact combinations of odd-shaped pieces to use.

The main goal of Katamino Tower is to solve 3D logic puzzles by stacking unusual puzzle pieces vertically upwards to construct a stable tower, moving beyond traditional two-dimensional spatial puzzles.

During a turn, you take the exact set of pieces demanded by your chosen challenge and physically manipulate them, fitting them together layer by layer. Because the shapes are unique and unconventional, you will likely need to test multiple configurations, disassembling and trying again until you find a working solution.

Katamino Tower does not feature a traditional competitive scoring system. Instead, success is binary: you either successfully complete the specific height and piece requirements of the chosen challenge or you do not.

A puzzle session concludes successfully the moment you manage to assemble the multi-level tower using exclusively the pieces dictated by the active challenge card.
