Kingdom Legacy: Feudal Kingdom is set up by organizing the various card decks, including land, buildings, persons, and events. Players begin with a starting tableau of cards representing their fledgling kingdom, along with resource trackers and a supply of coins, wood, stone, and metal. Cards are multi-purpose and double-sided, allowing them to be upgraded or flipped throughout the campaign as the kingdom evolves.

The main objective is to guide your feudal kingdom through a multi-session legacy campaign by expanding territory, constructing buildings, recruiting persons, and achieving specific milestone goals. Players must balance resource production with strategic card management to ensure steady growth and high scoring potential.

During a turn, players draw and manage cards, spend accumulated resources (coins, wood, stone, metal) to upgrade lands into buildings or recruit new personnel, and resolve active event cards that alter gameplay conditions. Cards remaining in play provide ongoing production or abilities, while others can be discarded or used for special actions.

Scoring is determined at key milestones and at the end of the campaign based on victory points accumulated from permanent goal cards, upgraded infrastructure, military strength, and special achievements like loyalty and resource production.

The campaign progresses through a structured sequence of rounds dictated by campaign stop cards, eventually concluding after all legacy chapters are completed and final scores are tallied.
