Setup
To set up the game, place the drawing pad, the small pencil, and the hourglass in the center of the playing area. Shuffle the word cards and place them face down to form a draw pile. Before starting the game, players collectively decide which of the three word pairs on each card they will use for drawing throughout the game. Each card presents three pairs of words, with one word in each pair being easier (worth 1 point) and the other being more difficult (worth 2 points).

On your turn
During a player's turn, they draw a word card and secretly choose one of the two words from the pre-selected pair (either the easy 1-point word or the difficult 2-point word). Once the word is chosen, the hourglass is flipped, and the player has 30 seconds to draw the chosen word on the pad. The crucial rule is that the drawing must be composed of a maximum of 15 straight lines. No curves or erasing are allowed.
Scoring
If another player correctly guesses the word within the 30-second time limit and before the drawer exceeds 15 lines, both the drawing player and the guessing player earn points. The points awarded depend on the difficulty of the word chosen: 1 point for an easy word and 2 points for a difficult word. If no one guesses correctly, or if the drawer uses more than 15 lines, no points are awarded for that round.
Game end
The game concludes as soon as any player successfully reaches or exceeds 10 points. That player is then declared the winner of Kontour.
