How does it work?

 Scarabs lie dormant in corridors hidden in frame pieces...
 They come into life after players take three magic items from the game board.
 Each player may spend 1 action to move a Scarab swarm.
 When a Scarab encounters a character, this character must make a Scarab Check…
 If the check is successful, the Scarab dies and is removed from the game for good.
 If the check is failed, the Scarab transforms the character into a monster!
 Fortunately, any transformed characters can try to return to their own form!
