Legends of Andor

During setup, each player selects a hero board and places their character figure along with wooden willpower and sunrise markers. Arrange all necessary creature standees, dice, gold, stars, event cards, fog tokens, and equipment plates on their designated areas of the board. The storyteller token is placed on the starting letter of the legend track, and legend cards are sorted by their letter codes to ready the game for play.

The main objective of Legends of Andor is a cooperative effort to protect the land by defeating enemies and fulfilling the specific victory conditions outlined on the legend cards. Players must communicate effectively, manage their time and resources wisely, and coordinate their hero abilities to overcome the escalating threats before time runs out.

On their turn, a hero can choose to move across board fields or initiate combat with creatures. Each movement or combat round consumes hours, which are tracked on the player's time bar. Once a hero's hours are exhausted, their day ends, and they must rest until the next sunrise phase resolves daily events and creature movements.

Legends of Andor is a cooperative adventure game and does not feature a traditional scoring or victory point system. Success is purely binary: players either successfully complete all requirements of the active legend or fail together.

The game concludes when the heroes accomplish the legendary quest objectives, resulting in a joint victory. Conversely, defeat is triggered instantly if creatures breach the castle and run out of shields, or if the storyteller reaches the end of the legend track before the final goal is met.
