Magic: The Gathering Universes Beyond – Doctor Who

In this crossover expansion, Magic: The Gathering visits the Doctor Who universe, with a set of four preconstructed Commander decks themed around the various iterations of the Doctor, their companions, and their adventures together through time and space.

The "Blast from the Past" deck features the first eight Doctors and their companions, and is built around the Historic mechanic, with lots of legendary creatures, artifacts, and Sagas. The "Timey-Wimey" deck features Doctors Nine, Ten, and Eleven (and the War Doctor), and is built around the new Time Travel mechanic, which allows you to manipulate time counters on your battlefield and on suspended cards. The "Paradox Power" deck features Doctors Twelve and Thirteen (and the Fugitive Doctor), and is built around the new Paradox mechanic, which rewards you for casting spells from anywhere other than your hand. And finally, the "Masters of Evil" showcases the greatest villains of the series, featuring the new Villainous Choice mechanic to force your foes to choose their own demise.

Each deck also includes a 10-card oversized planar deck for use with the Planechase format, so you can fly your TARDIS from planet to planet, changing the rules of the game depending on where you land.

The set is also available in collector booster packs, which can contain any of the non-oversized cards from the four decks—including special foil, extended art, and/or alt-art versions that can't be found anywhere else.
