Marvel: Remix

To set up Marvel: Remix, separate the remix cards and villain cards into two distinct decks based on their card backs. Shuffle each deck thoroughly and place them within reach of all participants. Deal one secret villain card and six secret remix cards to every player. Keep these cards hidden from opponents throughout the game. The remaining cards form draw piles next to the shared discard area.

The main goal is to curate a hand of cards that maximizes your total points through clever combinations, matching tags, and base values. You must carefully manage which cards to keep and which to discard, aiming to outperform your opponents by the time the game triggers its end condition.

Play proceeds clockwise starting from a randomly chosen first player. On your turn, you must choose one of three actions: draw the top card from the remix deck, draw the top card from the villain deck, or take any single face-up card from the shared discard area. After taking your chosen card, you must immediately select and discard any one card from your hand into the discard area.

At the end of the game, players reveal their hands. You must hold at least one hero or ally and at least one villain, or your entire score is zero. Sum the base power values and active bonus effects of your remaining cards. Bonuses can grant extra points for specific tags, pairs, or card combinations while accounting for any blanked cards.

The game continues in a clockwise loop until exactly ten cards accumulate in the shared discard area. As soon as the tenth card is placed there, the game ends instantly, and players must reveal their hands to calculate and compare their final scores using the provided score sheets.
