Monkey Palace

To set up Monkey Palace, place the main board in the center with nearby supply trays containing arches, bricks, columns, bamboo leaves, and golden bricks. Place corner pieces on the board and insert a chosen terrain map. Give each player a player board and starting building materials like arches and bricks. Sort the monkey cards into separate stacks by value and color, keeping bonus and trophy cards ready nearby.

Players cooperate and compete to reconstruct the magnificent Monkey Palace. By building rising staircases and structures, players earn monkey credits, acquire powerful cards, and collect valuable banana points. The player with the most banana points at the end wins.

On your turn, you build a unique continuous staircase starting from a free space and connecting to the existing palace, ensuring each arch is higher than the last. Next, decorate the staircase based on the terrain color to earn monkey credits, then spend those credits to buy monkey cards from the stacks. Apply their one-time and recurring brick benefits, check for bonus cards by building tall columns, and claim trophy cards if you placed golden bricks.

At the end of the game, tally up all banana points printed in the top right corners of your visible and hidden monkey cards, add any earned four-point bonus cards, and include points from trophies. The player with the highest total wins, with ties broken by the monkey trophy.

The game continues over multiple rounds until there are no longer enough construction bricks in the supply for a player to take what they need during their turn. Finish the current round so all players take an equal number of turns before final scoring.
