Love Letter

The game begins by shuffling the main deck of character cards. One card is removed from the game face down so players cannot know its identity, preventing absolute certainty of all cards in play. Each participant is then dealt a single starting card from the deck, which must be kept secret from opponents. Additional cards remain in a central draw pile ready for the round to begin.

The primary goal is to successfully deliver your love letter to the princess by outlasting your opponents. You achieve this either by eliminating all other players from the current round through card effects or by holding the character card with the highest numerical value when the draw deck is completely exhausted.

On your turn, you draw one card from the top of the deck, giving you a hand of two cards. You then choose one of those two cards to play face up in front of you, resolving its special action immediately. Card effects range from guessing opponents' hands to forcing card exchanges or eliminating rivals.

Success in individual rounds is rewarded with favor tokens, representing your standing with the princess. The number of tokens required to claim overall victory depends on player count—for instance, a three-player game requires five tokens. Rounds continue until one player reaches this target score.

A round concludes under two conditions: either only one player is left standing after others are eliminated by card effects, or the draw deck runs out of cards. When the deck empties, all remaining players reveal their hands, and the highest card value wins the round.
