The rules, step by step

Setup
Each player begins the game with a starting deck of 20 cards. Nine of these cards are 'Blight' cards, which represent decay and have negative effects. The remaining cards are empty or have basic abilities. Players also receive a starting hand and set up a market of available advancements.
Objective
The primary objective in Mystic Vale is to accumulate the most victory points by the end of the game. This is achieved by strategically upgrading your cards with various advancements, clearing Blight from your deck, and creating powerful card combinations that generate points or provide beneficial abilities.
On your turn
During a player's turn, they reveal cards from their deck one by one until they have accumulated three Blight symbols. If a player reveals a fourth Blight symbol, their turn immediately ends. After revealing cards, players can use their accumulated mana to purchase advancements from the market. These advancements are then sleeved onto their revealed cards, improving their abilities and potentially clearing Blight.
Scoring
Victory points are primarily gained through the advancements added to cards. Some advancements provide immediate victory points, while others offer ongoing benefits or end-game scoring conditions based on specific card combinations or the number of certain symbols. Clearing Blight from your deck also contributes to your overall score.
Game end
The game concludes when the supply of victory point tokens is depleted. Once this happens, players tally their total victory points from all their upgraded cards, cleared Blight, and any other scoring conditions. The player with the highest total victory points is declared the winner of Mystic Vale.
Tips
Do not place multiple Blight symbols on a single card unless you have an ability to ignore them. Prioritize 'Growth' advancements to increase the number of cards you can reveal per turn. Keep track of how many Blight symbols remain in your deck to take calculated risks. When risking revealing more cards, ensure you have a good chance of gaining mana or valuable advancements. Stack 'Spirit' advancements on one card to maximize their effect for purchasing Valley cards. Avoid placing advancements on 'Blight' cards, as Blight blocks one of the three slots for advancements and hinders combinations. Utilize advancements that allow you to discard cards to remove basic Blight cards from your deck.
