Nekojima

The main goal of Nekojima is to build a shared electrical network across the four city districts by placing wooden poles (denshūs) and cables without causing the structure to collapse.

Set up the game by placing the circular district base in the center of the play area. Keep the bag of cubes, the wooden poles with attached colored cables, the cat tokens, and the dice within easy reach of all players.

During your turn, you roll the dice to determine which district to build in. Then, you draw a cube from the bag to select the correct pole with its matching cable. Finally, you carefully place your denshū onto the central base or existing structure, following strict placement rules.

Nekojima does not use a traditional point-scoring system. Instead, the game focuses entirely on physical dexterity, balance, and cooperative survival of the tower.

The game ends abruptly when the tower structure falls apart or when any denshū and its connected cables touch the ground or cause a short-circuit error.

Always keep your hands clear of cables during placement, ensure denshūs are never placed upside-down or stacked on top of one another, and make sure your cables never touch other poles, the ground, or neighboring cables.
