Ohanami

Ohanami contains 120 unique cards divided into four types: blue water, green foliage, gray stone, and pink cherry blossoms. To set up the game, shuffle the deck thoroughly and deal a starting hand of 10 cards to each player, keeping the remaining cards nearby for the subsequent rounds.

The main goal of Ohanami is to construct up to three vertical gardens using drafted cards. Each garden column requires cards to be placed in strictly ascending or descending numerical order, and careful card placement determines your overall success and final score.

The game is played over three rounds. In each turn, players simultaneously select two cards from their hand, place them face down, and reveal them together. Players then add these cards to their existing gardens or start new ones, adhering to the strict numerical ordering rules. Afterward, players pass their remaining hand of cards clockwise in a two-player or alternate-direction setup.

Scoring happens progressively at the end of each round. At the end of round one, only blue cards score points. At the end of round two, both blue and green cards score. At the end of the third and final round, all four card colors—including gray stones and exponential pink cherry blossoms—are scored together, with pink cards acting as a potential tiebreaker.

The game concludes immediately after the third round's scoring phase is complete. All points accumulated across the three rounds are tallied, and the player with the highest total score is declared the winner. In the rare event of a tie, the player with the most pink cards wins.
