São Paulo feeds millions of people every day. Behind every great meal is a chef who sourced the right ingredients, assured ingredient freshness, and served exactly what the customer ordered — under pressure, let alone the competition, every single week.

In On the Pass, you are that chef.

On the Pass is a competitive kitchen management game for 2–4 players set in Brazil's most vibrant food city: São Paulo.

Each week (round) a special event is triggered as the city pulse and you can perform actions to benefit you or hinder competitors. Then, buy fresh ingredients from the market, welcome your customers, and race to earn enough Fame Points to be crowned São Paulo's greatest chef.

Choose your restaurant Each player runs one of four distinct restaurants (Pasta House, Burger Joint, Salad Bar and Sweet Spot), each with a culinary specialty that earns bonus Fame Points other chefs simply don't receive based on the customers served. No two players may choose the same restaurant.

Freshness is the heartbeat Each of the seven (7) ingredients has its own shelf life. Any unused ingredient that expires is discarded. Managing your pantry is the strategic core of the game.

Serve, score, repeat Each round, a mix of Regular and Special Customer cards arrives at your restaurant. You seat customers at your tables (up to three, or four with the Expansion upgrade), match their dish orders to your available ingredients, and serve. Regular Customers keep the coins flowing. Special Customers bring bigger fame rewards and pay more — but, of course, they bring more demanding orders. Fail to serve and they walk, keeping their money and eventually affecting your fame as a renowned chef.

Action Cards give you tactical advantages: You might outsmart your competitors and source ingredients at a lower cost due to a good relationship with the supplier.

Special Event Cards hit the majority or the whole table: a Food Festival floods everyone with extra customers.

Upgrade your kitchen Throughout the game, you may upgrade your restaurant: deploy a Reservation System, expand your dining area, or choose a different one. Your rivals are watching the same upgrade options. Timing matters as much as planning.

The race to fame The first chef to reach the Fame Point threshold (dependent on player count) triggers the final round. All players complete that round, add their end-game bonus points, then the chef with the most Fame Points wins. In case of a tie, the player with most coins remaining is the winner. If the tie remains, then most customers served during the game. If there is still a tie, players share the victory.

On the Pass plays in 60–90 minutes, scales cleanly from 2 to 4 players, and rewards both careful planners and bold opportunists. Every turn calls for real decisions that must be wisely chosen — and every wasted ingredient stings just a little.
