Pandemic: Rapid Response

To set up Pandemic: Rapid Response, place the main plane board in the center of the table with the waste marker on the start of its track. Load each of the five supply rooms with four matching colored crates. Place the sand timer and three time tokens in the headquarters area, keeping six more in reserve. Shuffle the city cards, place the plane at the matching starting city, draw two face-up infected cities, and create a facedown deck of three more city cards. Deal one unique role card and its matching colored dice and pawn to each player, placing pawns in their designated starting rooms.

The main objective is to race against a ticking two-minute sand timer to manufacture and deliver life-saving supplies to cities in need across the globe. Players must cooperate in real-time, gathering specific crates from different rooms inside the plane, loading them into the cargo bay, flying the plane to target locations, and opening the doors to fulfill delivery requests before time expires.

On your turn, you collect and roll your available colored dice. You can spend dice to perform various actions: move your pawn between adjacent rooms, fly the plane along its route, assign dice to room tracks to power them up, or activate rooms to collect crates, recycle waste, or deliver supplies. You can also reroll your unused dice up to twice per turn to chase needed symbols. Once you are finished or unable to act, your turn ends and play passes clockwise.

Pandemic: Rapid Response is a purely cooperative game with no individual scoring. Your ultimate measure of success is whether you successfully deliver all required supplies to the city cards without triggering a loss condition.

The game is won immediately once players successfully deliver supplies to every single city card in the deck and on the board. Players instantly lose if the sand timer runs out and there are no time tokens left in the headquarters, if the waste marker reaches the end of its track, or if certain crisis conditions are triggered.
