Pergola

To set up Pergola, place the central token holder with game pieces in the middle alongside the leaf board, action board, and tool holder. Set out the correct tools based on your player count, and place the dragonfly-stacked pond board in the center. Each player receives a garden pergola, cascade board, scoring board, a storage pot, a frog, a birdhouse, two water drops, and four empty honey pots placed on their bench.

Players compete to design the most impressive garden by growing various plants and attracting insects. You will collect resources, fulfill placement requirements, and strategically position items to maximize your final score across 15 turns.

Each player takes 15 turns in clockwise order. On your turn, you complete four steps: first, pick one of the four available tools from the action board and take the matching tokens from the tray; second, enrich your garden by placing these pieces in valid spots; third, perform the unique action shown on the action board space below your chosen tool; fourth, clean up by sliding the remaining tools to the right and drawing a new tool into the leftmost empty space, placing your used tool into your personal pot.

Scoring happens entirely at the end of the game. Points are awarded for sets of colored hollyhocks, butterflies based on height, magnolias, grouped ladybugs, buttercup pairs, lavender leaves, dragonflies of various sizes, completely filled bee pieces, flipped honey pots, and bonuses collected from navigating water drop paths on your cascade board.

The game concludes immediately after every player has taken their 15th turn, which is tracked by filling all spaces in their personal pots with the tools they collected throughout the game.
