A sequel to "Pokémon Master Trainer" (even though this game has the exact same title), players spin a spinner and then move their Pokémon Trainer around the board, battling and acquiring new Pokémon by comparing battle strength. (There are a total of 300 different Pokémon in this edition.) Item cards can be used to boost a player's odds of winning battles. Along the way, players may have to battle Gym Leaders and each other. Ultimately, whomever collects the most Pokémon Chips (the game's currency) will be named the "Master Trainer."
