Politikus (Rats as politicians) test your political animality.

Are you crafty enough to climb the party ladder? Greedy enough to reap government projects? Animal enough to stab your own friend?

Because no matter how close our relationship is, the Prime Minister's chair does not fit two person.

How to Setup

 Place the rank cards on your left hand side.
 Party Cards at the bottom together at the first rank in a straight line.
     Objective is to reach to get the prime minister post first.

 Place these cards in the drawpile 

Face Down - Sentiment (Conservative and Liberal), Projects, Dark Side Face Up - Frog Party & Cash for salary

Choose your party

 Each color on the Party Card represents a player (Politikus)
 At the start, each player can choose whether to join the Conservative Party or The Liberal Party.
 However, they can change their current party to the other during the game. 
 If the change of party is more than 2 times, the player must change to the Frog Party according to their color.

Drawing Salary On each turn, players only get to perform one action only from these 3 playout;

 Draw Salary according to their rank 
 Do a project (Draw Project Card only, hand one (1) Dark Side card to another player)
 Play Sentiment (Draw Sentiment Card only)

Getting Promoted Players can be promoted following these 3 playout which was obtained during drawing salary. Players only can use 1 playout per turn.

 Pay with cash obtained from salary towards the price of the next rank; eg pay 10K cash to become Department Head from Branch Head. 
 Play the Project Card (Collect reward from project value and if it fulfills the price of the promotion, pay the rank for the promotion).
     For every project card taken by the player, player must pass a dark side card to another player

 Play Sentiment (Place sentiment card according to their distinguish party , use sentiment card to pay  for the rank)

Dark Side

 Players who hold other players dark side card can expose the player at anytime.
 Once the player is exposed, the exposed player must pay the fine as stated in the dark side card.
 Failure to pay the fine will result in a demotion.

Becoming Prime Minister

 First player to reach the Prime Minister rank will be the winner.
 However, the Prime Minister must come from a party majority in which the player is in (Conservative or Liberal according to the number of players).
 If the player did not have the majority, the player can switch party or harass other players to join the player's party.

Switching Parties

 Each player can switch parties twice (2). On the third switch, players must replace their character card with the frog party according to their colour.
 For each switch players must; 
     Pay the fine according to their Rank/Salary
     Dispose all sentiment card and get demoted.

 Players can switch party at anytime in the game.
 If a player do not have enough cash to switch parties, they can sell a project card at hand to the bank, however the dark side card stay with the player which gotten it during drawing project card.
 Frog Party cannot play sentiment cards
 Bribery and any other transaction can be practice as it is done in the real world of politics as well as in this game.
