The rules, step by step

Setup
To set up Queendomino, shuffle all dominoes and place them numerically with the gap facing away in the box. Lay out the builders board in the center with six building tiles face up. Arrange the supply of coins, knights, and towers in banks near the board. Give each player a starting tile with a matching castle, two king meeples of their chosen color, one knight, and a starting coin value of seven. Place the queen on the board and the dragon in its cave. Arrange the first four dominoes numerically with terrain side exposed, and determine player turn order by drawing kings randomly from a hand.
Objective
The main objective of Queendomino is to construct a medieval city and kingdom that pleases the queen while fending off a dragon. Players must strategically draft domino tiles, collect taxes, hire knights, construct towers and buildings, and carefully manage their territory to maximize their victory points by the end of twelve rounds.
On your turn
Each round begins by revealing four new dominoes in numerical order. Players use their king meeples to select dominoes. On your turn, add your selected domino to your kingdom following connection rules, optionally collect taxes using knights, and construct buildings on open red construction spaces by paying the coin cost. You can also bribe the dragon to burn a building tile or claim new dominoes for future rounds. Play continues until all dominoes are claimed.
Scoring
Scoring happens at the end of the game using the provided score pad. Players earn points for remaining wealth (1 point per 3 unused coins), territory scoring (number of connecting squares multiplied by crowns in each territory), and building bonuses recorded from their constructed town buildings. The player with the highest total score wins.
Game end
The game concludes after 12 rounds once all domino tiles have been drafted and placed. Players finalize their kingdom grids—ensuring valid sizes of 5x5 for 3-4 players or 7x7 for 2 players—calculate all categories on their score pads, and determine the winner based on the highest total points.
Tips
Plan your kingdom layout carefully to avoid discarding valuable tiles. Balance collecting high-value mixed terrains with maintaining open spaces for building bonuses. Use your knights effectively to generate income, and time your dragon usage strategically to disrupt opponents or secure key tiles.
