Recall

Setting up Recall involves laying out the main hexagonal board with randomized terrain tiles, populating specific hexes with monuments and artifacts, and placing player meeples on starting areas. Each player receives a personal player board, starting keys of basic colors, and a reserve of diamonds to manage upgrades. Setup also includes organizing tracks for culture, knowledge, and progression, and revealing initial objective cards that guide long-term strategy.

The primary objective in Recall is to accumulate the highest number of victory points by the end of thirteen rounds. Players achieve this by exploring the world map, constructing workshops, storehouses, and monuments, advancing along various tracks, and successfully completing personal and shared objectives.

A player's turn revolves around playing key tiles to trigger actions on their player board or the main board. Players can move groups of meeples across hexes, gather resources, construct buildings, or upgrade key values and diamond tiers. Managing available keys and retrieving them via recall actions forms the core tactical loop across the game's thirteen rounds.

Scoring happens primarily at the end of the game, based on final positions on knowledge and culture tracks, constructed monuments, remaining resources, and successful fulfillment of objective cards. Certain achievements and bonuses acquired during play also contribute to the final tally.

The game concludes automatically after the completion of the thirteenth round. Once the final round finishes, players proceed directly to the comprehensive end-game scoring phase to determine the winner.
