Players cooperate to fulfill scenario objectives, gather powerful items, achieve required virtues, and ultimately lure the hidden adversary out of the tower to defeat it before the final month ends.

Assemble the central board divided into four kingdoms, set up the electronic dark tower, place starting buildings, distribute hero boards, and use the companion app to choose game modes, goals, adversaries, and foes.

Each player turn consists of a start phase for banner actions, a middle phase allowing movement, one heroic action like battling or cleansing, and one reinforce action, followed by an end phase where a skull is dropped into the tower.

Success is measured by completing quests, unlocking virtues, and collecting powerful treasures and gear, while players must carefully manage warriors and spirits to avoid taking debilitating corruption.

The game runs over a series of months with a strict round limit, ending in victory if the adversary is destroyed, or defeat if time runs out, skulls run out, or any hero accumulates three corruption cards.

Frequently cleanse skulls from buildings to prevent them from being destroyed, coordinate your movements with teammates, and save your advantages strategically to survive brutal encounters with monsters.
