Ricochet Robots

To set up Ricochet Robots, take the four puzzle boards and arrange them together in any orientation within the center frame piece. Place the four colored robot pieces and the silver robot on the board in valid starting positions. Shuffle the goal tokens and place them face down near the board, with one token placed face up in the center square of the board to begin each round.

The main objective of the game is to solve a spatial puzzle by figuring out how to navigate a specific colored robot to a matching symbol on the board. Robots travel in straight lines across the grid and only stop when they hit a wall or another robot, requiring players to bounce them strategically off obstacles.

During a turn, all players look at the board simultaneously to find a solution that reaches the target symbol. There are no turns in the traditional sense; everyone thinks and competes at the same time. Once a player finds a solution with a specific number of moves, they call out that number and flip the hourglass timer over.

When the timer runs out, the player who called the lowest number demonstrates their solution step-by-step. If correct, they claim the goal token as points. If they make a mistake, they lose the chance and others verify their solutions until a valid player wins the token.

The game ends once all goal tokens have been claimed from the center stack. The player who has collected the most tokens wins the game, demonstrating superior spatial reasoning and puzzle-solving speed.
