Risk of Rain: The Board Game

Risk of Rain: The Board Game is a cooperative roguelike adventure set on the deadly planet of Petrichor V. Based on the acclaimed video game series, this tabletop adaptation challenges you to survive escalating waves of monsters, collect powerful items, and ultimately escape - or perish trying.

Each run spans four stages, with survivors fighting to locate and charge a hidden teleporter on each map before facing off against a stage boss. Complete three stages and reach Commencement, where the powerful Mithrix awaits as the final challenge. You can also save your progress at the end of any stage, allowing you and any fellow survivors to pick up the adventure at your leisure.

Each of you takes on the role of a Survivor, equipped with a unique deck of action cards. Every round these cards are placed into a shared action row alongside monster actions, revealing a turn order determined by card speed—creating fast-paced tactical decisions every round. As a survivor you can move, attack, and interact with the world around you, while monsters will attempt to strike back, block progress, and even multiply if left unchecked.

Each round concludes with the environment growing more hazardous: the planet's danger level increases, strengthening monsters and spawning more threats. If your team falls, you must start over — but with each run, you'll unlock powerful new content, including additional survivors, modular game expansions, unique discoveries, and dozens of new items that deepen and evolve the experience over time.
