Scooby-Doo!: Hotel Mal-Assombrado

This is a game of hidden roles. Each player receives a role at the start of the game, which must be kept secret. While most of the players are hotel staff, trying to unmask the villains, the few villains want to remain incognito and generate doubts in the other players. In addition to a role, each player is dealt a hand of random cards, which can contain traps, Scooby Snacks, monsters and clues. In the complete deck there are more monsters than other types of cards.

On your turn, you must choose one of the characters from the Scooby-Doo gang to carry out their action, which ranges from simply changing cards in your hand to making players put down unopened cards on the table. When this happens, all the played and unopened cards are shuffled and revealed, one by one, until a monster appears, causing the villains indicator to move one space towards victory. However, if any clues are revealed, the Scooby gang that walks towards discovering the villains. So, through bluffing and clever use of their cards at the right times, the hotel staff try to discover the identity of the villains and the villains try to arouse suspicion about other players.

The game ends when a villain is discovered or when the progress indicator of the villains or the Scooby gang reaches its final space.
