Shieldwall aims to recreate the atmosphere of Dark Age battles in the British Isles and Northern Europe. The rules were inspired by Andy Callan's Dark Age Infantry Slog. They adapt the basic Comitatus mechanisms to provide interest and colour to what otherwise might be a fairly boring game of two more or less identically armed shieldwalls crashing into each other.

If you like Vikings and Saxons this could be the game for you!
