How do you play Sniper Elite: The Board Game?

The core objective is asymmetrical. Setup

Place the board, give the sniper secret objectives and items, and set up the defenders with officers, soldiers, and the countdown track.

The rules, step by step

Setup
To set up the game, place the chosen map board in the center and assign one player as the lone sniper and the rest as the defenders. The sniper secretly draws two different-suited objective cards, takes starting loadout items, and gets a hidden tracking board. The defenders place officer and soldier miniatures on matching colored starting spaces, set up their specialty cards with cubes and suppression tokens, and place the countdown marker at row 10 with the sniper wound token.
Objective
The core objective is asymmetrical. The sniper must secretly travel to two different numbered board locations corresponding to their secret objective cards and complete them without getting caught or running out of time. The defenders win by either successfully attacking and wounding the sniper twice or by letting the countdown track reach the final row before the sniper finishes their mission.
On your turn
Rounds alternate between the sniper and the defenders. On the sniper's turn, they secretly move up to three spaces on their hidden board, perform one action (such as shooting, looting, or completing an objective), and optionally play a loadout card. If they rush two or three spaces near enemies, they must give noise clues. Afterward, the defenders take their turn, using their squads to move up to two spaces per squad, sweep areas, spot hidden positions, attack, or deploy units.
Scoring
There are no victory points in Sniper Elite. Game success is strictly binary, determined entirely by whether the sniper successfully completes both objectives in time or if the defenders neutralize the sniper or stall them until the round track empties.
Game end
The game ends immediately in victory for the sniper if they successfully complete both of their secret objectives. Conversely, the game ends immediately in a win for the defenders if they manage to land two wounds on the sniper or if the round tracking cube reaches the bottom of the countdown track at the start of a defender turn.
Tips
As the sniper, balance speed with stealth by keeping your movement to one space when near guards to avoid giving away clues. As the defenders, coordinate your sweeps and use officer specialties wisely to narrow down the sniper's possible hidden locations before time runs out.
