Steampunk Rally Fusion

Setting up Steampunk Rally Fusion for three players involves ten clear steps. First, choose racetrack tiles and assemble the track in the play area. Second, create supply pools for dice, cogs, and gears within reach of everyone. Third, sort machine part cards and boost cards by border color into draw decks and place them face down next to the track. Fourth, flip the top card of each deck to create discard piles. Fifth, determine draft direction using the play direction tile or event deck. Sixth, choose an inventor and take their matching standee. Seventh, collect machine parts and cockpits corresponding to your inventor and connect them in your player area. Eighth, take a damage gauge and set it to zero. Ninth, take a lightbulb token and place it in your player area. Tenth, check player area space and add optional items like secret projects, middle track extensions, or crowd tokens.

The main objective of Steampunk Rally Fusion is to build the ultimate steampunk racing machine, navigate challenging terrain, and become the champion by traveling the farthest past the finish line.

A round consists of five sequential phases. Phase one is the draft phase, where players draw cards from each deck, choose one to sell, attach, or stash, and pass remaining cards in draft order. Phase two is the vent phase (skipped in round one), where players spend cogs or gears to reduce dice values. Phase three is the race phase, where players simultaneously roll dice and activate machine parts, spend dice, and use lightbulbs to move and trigger card effects. Phase four is the damage phase, where players lose machine parts if their damage gauge is below zero, or explode if they lack parts. Phase five is the upkeep phase, storing unplayed dice, flipping lightbulb tiles, returning unplayed dice, and flipping draft tiles or resolving events.

Scoring is based entirely on track position. The player who finishes the race farthest past the finish line after the final round wins the game.

The game ends after a final round is triggered when any player crosses the finish line. One additional round is played to let everyone complete their movement.
