Magical Athlete

To set up Magical Athlete, center the race track board with the Mild Mile side facing up, keeping Wild Wilds nearby. Place point chips, trophies, and rosette chips in numerical order with the lowest on top and highest on the bottom. Give every player a die, shuffle the racer deck, and place it next to the board. Players draft four racer cards each by turning over cards, rolling dice to determine drafting order, and selecting racers clockwise and then in reverse order.

The objective of Magical Athlete is to score the most points over four chaotic races by moving your drafted magical athletes across the board using dice rolls and activating unique, game-breaking special abilities.

On your turn, roll dice to determine the starting player, then each player reveals one of their four racer cards and places its token on the start space. During a race, players take turns in clockwise order rolling dice and moving their racers forward that many spaces. Players must carefully apply chaotic racer abilities, which can trigger when chosen, when activated by board spaces or other racers, or passively.

Scoring happens immediately as racers cross the finish line. The first player to finish takes the top gold trophy, and the second player takes the silver rosette.

A game consists of four complete races. After all four races are finished, the player with the most accumulated points wins. If there is a tie, the victory is shared.
