Place the board, choose menu tiles, shuffle dessert cards into a pile, and shuffle the remaining cards into another pile.

The rules, step by step

Setup
Place the game board on the table. Each player chooses a pawn and places it on the zero space of the board. Select the menu tiles you want to use for the game (e.g., the classic menu from the original Sushi Go) and place them in their designated slots on the board. Shuffle the chosen dessert cards (e.g., Pudding) and place them in a pile. Shuffle all other cards from the selected menu into a separate main deck pile. The game is now ready to begin.
Objective
The objective of Sushi Go Party! is to be the player with the most points at the end of three rounds by strategically collecting and combining various sushi dishes and other menu items. Players aim to create the best combinations of cards to maximize their scores.
On your turn
The game is played over three rounds. Before each round, a specific number of dessert cards are added to the main deck, which is then shuffled. Cards are dealt to each player based on the number of players. Everyone plays simultaneously: choose one card from your hand and place it face down. Once all players have chosen, reveal the cards simultaneously. Group similar cards together. Then, everyone passes their remaining hand of cards to the player on their left and takes the hand from the player on their right. This process repeats until all cards have been played, at which point the round ends.
Scoring
Points are scored at the end of each round, except for dessert cards. Nigiri cards give points as shown on the card (Egg Nigiri 1, Salmon Nigiri 2, Squid Nigiri 3). Tempura gives 5 points if you have two (multiple sets are possible). Sashimi gives 10 points if you have three (multiple sets are possible). Dumplings give increasing points for more cards (1 for 1, 3 for 2, 6 for 3, 10 for 4, 15 for 5+, with 15 being the maximum). Maki cards have a number of maki rolls at the top and give points to the player with the most (6 points) and second most (3 points). If there are 6 or more players, the third most also gets points (2 points). Ties result in all tied players receiving the full points. Wasabi has no immediate effect but triples the points of the next Nigiri played on it (only one Nigiri per Wasabi; 0 points if no Nigiri is played on it). Chopsticks have no immediate effect but allow you to play an extra card from your hand in a future turn, returning the Chopsticks to your hand before passing. Chopsticks are worth 0 points at the end of the round. Other menu items like Tofu, Eel, Onigiri, Edamame, Miso Soup, Temaki, Uramaki, Soy Sauce, Tea, Takeout Box, Special Order, and Spoon have their own unique scoring rules and effects, as detailed in the video.
Game end
After three rounds, the game concludes. All dessert cards (e.g., Pudding, Green Tea Ice Cream, Fruit) are scored at this point. Pudding gives 6 points to the player with the most and takes 6 points from the player with the fewest (including zero). Ties for most or fewest result in all tied players gaining or losing the full points. The player with the highest total score wins the game. In case of a tie in total points, the player with the most dessert cards wins.
Tips
Sushi Go Party! offers a wide variety of menu items beyond the classic Sushi Go set, allowing for diverse gameplay experiences. You can choose from pre-designed menus like 'My First Meal' (mellow, for beginners), 'Sushi Go!' (classic), 'Party Sampler' (new Sushi Go Party! items), 'Master Menu' (for seasoned players), 'Points Platter' (score big points), 'Cutthroat Combo' (interactive), 'Big Banquet' (for 5-8 players), and 'Dinner for Two' (for 2 players). You also have the option to create your own custom menus by selecting different combinations of Nigiri, Rolls, Appetizers, Specials, and Desserts. The original Sushi Go differs slightly in card dealing based on player count and shuffles all Pudding cards into the main deck from the start.
