Setup
To set up the game, first shuffle all the spice cards and deal five cards face down to each player. Next, decide whether to play with or without the joker cards. If playing with jokers, deal one to each player and place the rest in the middle of the table; if not, remove them from the game. Then, place the end-game card into the draw pile at a depth indicated on the card, based on the number of players, and place the three trophy cards face up next to the draw pile.

On your turn

Scoring
At the end of the game, points are tallied as follows: each trophy card is worth 10 points, each joker card (full or half) is worth 5 points, and each normal card is worth 1 point. However, any cards remaining in a player's hand at the end of the game count as negative points: -1 for each normal card and -5 for each joker card.
Game end
The game concludes immediately when one of three conditions is met: a player collects two trophy cards, all three trophy cards have been claimed by players, or the end-game card is drawn from the draw pile. Once any of these conditions are met, players proceed directly to scoring.
Tips
When playing a card, the first card played must be a 1, 2, or 3 of any spice. Subsequent cards must match the declared number or spice of the previous card, or be one higher in number. If you play a joker as your last card, you do not receive a trophy card but instead draw five new cards from the central pile. You are never allowed to hold more than one joker card in your hand at any given time. If you forget to announce that you've played your last card, you must take it back and pass your turn.
