The board is an elongated checkerboard (10x16) of distinct coloured squares per side with two out-of-bounds zones, each 2x3 squares, added in the centre. The perimeter is marked as out-of-bounds as well. Each player is provided with 10 pawns, which have movement rules similar to bishops in chess. The element of chance is introduced through dice rolling.
