Tenpenny Parks

To set up Tenpenny Parks, place the main board centrally and organize visitor tokens, money, attraction decks, expansion boards, tree markers, and concession tiles nearby. Deal secret goal cards to each player, who keeps two. In clockwise order, players select a property board, populate tree symbols with tree tokens, take matching player components, and place their emotion discs on the tracks. Finally, each player receives seven starting dollars, and the month marker is placed at the top of the track.

The objective is to build the most awe-inspiring theme park by managing landscape, constructing thrilling rides and concessions, and advancing on emotion tracks to attract visitors and accumulate the most victory points by the end of five rounds.

Each of the five rounds consists of five steps: Income, Action, Bonuses, Advertising, and Cleanup. During the Action step, players take turns placing workers to perform tasks such as building attractions from the carousel, hiring an arborist to remove trees, taking concession tiles, visiting the bank for money, or buying expansion boards. Tiles must fit entirely on your property without overlapping trees or sharing a direct side with other tiles, though diagonal touching is allowed.

At game end, players reveal secret goals for points, score the victory point values printed on all built attraction cards, earn major bonuses for having six or seven (5 points) or eight or more (10 points) attractions, and gain five points for each emotion marker reaching space nine or higher. All accumulated visitor tokens are then added together for a final total.

The game concludes automatically after the fifth month marker advances off the final space. Players perform final scoring for goals, attractions, counts, and emotion tracks. The player with the most victory points wins, with ties broken by remaining money and then clockwise proximity to the shovel holder.
