Setup
To set up the game, first shuffle the 52 playing cards thoroughly and place them face down in a central deck. Next, separate the tokens by color (white, yellow, orange, red) and stack them. For a 4-player game, you'll use tokens numbered 1 to 4. Place the success cards (yellow) face down in a row above the failure cards (black), which are also placed face down. Finally, deal two cards face down to each player, who will keep them hidden.

Players then reveal their chosen tokens simultaneously. The community cards are revealed in stages: three cards in the first round, one more in the second, and the final card in the third. After each reveal, players re-evaluate their hands and choose new tokens.
Scoring
After all community cards are revealed and players have chosen their final tokens for the round, all players reveal their private cards. The player with the strongest poker hand (using their two private cards and the five community cards) must have chosen the token with the highest star value among all players. If this condition is met, all players earn a success card. If the player with the strongest hand did not choose the highest-value token, or if another player chose a higher token than the strongest hand, all players earn a failure card.
Game end
The game concludes when either the players collectively accumulate three success cards, in which case they win, or when they accumulate three failure cards, resulting in a loss. The game can also end if the deck of playing cards runs out before either of these conditions is met, which typically results in a loss.
