The Godfather: Corleone's Empire

The game setup begins by placing the main game board in the center of the table. Position the Don Corleone figure on the Act I space of the Act track and the police car on the first space of the phase track. Create face-down piles for all denominations of money and types of illegal goods, business tiles, job cards, and ally cards split into acts. Players choose a family color, taking their metal suitcase, control markers, thugs, and family members. Distribute starting money cards, job cards, and family pieces depending on player count, and give the first player token to whoever last watched the movie.

The main objective of The Godfather: Corleone's Empire is to accumulate the most wealth in your metal suitcase by the end of four acts. Players use thugs, family members, jobs, and allies to shake down businesses, launder money, and control city turfs.

Turns are taken in clockwise order around the table. On your turn, you must perform one of four possible actions: place a thug to shake down the front of a business, place a family member to gain turf influence and suitcase benefits, complete a job by paying its illegal good costs, or play an ally card for its special ability. You cannot pass and must take an action until all your figures are deployed.

Scoring occurs during the tribute phase at the end of each act. Players first pay tribute to the Don by discarding cards up to the act limit. Then, end-game turf bonuses award cash to the player with the most control markers in each turf. Finally, major scoring awards $5 bonuses to the players who completed the most jobs of each color.

The game concludes after the fourth act is fully resolved. All players total the money inside their suitcases, combining cash collected from end-of-game bonuses and stored throughout the acts. The player with the highest total wins, with tie-breakers going to the player with the most turf dominance.
