The main goal is to be the first player to reach the required victory point threshold. Players achieve this by strategically building and upgrading monuments, acquiring powerful gods, and leveraging technologies to maximize their cattle income.

The game begins with players placing their initial monument on the map. Turn order and starting advantages are determined by bidding with cattle, setting the stage for resource management and monument construction throughout the game.

Each round starts with a bidding phase where players spend cattle to determine turn order. Players then execute actions based on their turn position, which includes building new monuments, upgrading existing ones, purchasing divine favor from gods, or acquiring specialist technologies.

Scoring revolves around monument levels and specific god bonuses. Upgrading monuments costs cattle and directly increases victory points, while certain gods provide ongoing multiplier effects or extra points under specific conditions.

The game concludes instantly when any player successfully reaches the predetermined victory point requirement, ending the current round and crowning that player the winner.
