The Magnificent

Setting up The Magnificent involves placing the main game board centrally with dice, crystal resources, coins, poster cards, and camp tiles. Each player takes a player board in their chosen color, setting it to the beginner or advanced side. Players receive starting master cards corresponding to their board's Roman numeral, a starting poster card, initial gems, coins, and a trainer token. The dice pool is prepared based on the player count, and first player determination is resolved with coin exchanges.

The main objective in The Magnificent is to put on the best circus shows by managing resources, traveling across the countryside, and building efficient camp layouts. Players act as ringmasters and performers, acquiring posters and fulfilling their color and resource requirements to score high prestige points before the final round.

Each round consists of four turns per player. On your turn, you draft a die from the central pool, determining its strength based on how many dice of that color you have drafted previously. You can boost dice values by discarding gems. After drafting, you must choose one of three actions: build camp tiles, travel to claim tents and resources, or perform shows based on your posters.

Scoring happens throughout the game and at round ends. Players score points by performing shows that match their camp tiles and poster requirements, fulfilling master card criteria, and completely filling sections of their player board. Additional points are awarded for remaining coins at the end of the game.

The game ends after three complete rounds, each consisting of four turns per player. Following the final round's performances and fee payments, players tally remaining master card points, leftover coins, and fully filled board squares to determine the ultimate winner.
