The Red Dragon Inn

Red Dragon Inn is designed for two to four players. Each player selects a unique character deck with its own distinct flavor and abilities. Players place their character decks on their mats, take one red fortitude counter starting at twenty, and one clear alcohol content counter starting at zero. Additionally, players take ten gold coins, or twelve for two-player games. A drink card is placed face down on each player's drink-me pile without looking, and the remaining drink deck and gold are placed in the center of the table. Finally, each player draws seven cards for their opening hand.

The main goal of Red Dragon Inn is to out-party and out-drink your fellow adventurers after a hard day of dungeon delving. You win by being the last adventurer standing in the tavern, achieved by surviving the night while your opponents either pass out from too much alcohol or lose all their fortitude.

A player's turn follows a specific four-step order. First, discard any unwanted cards and draw back up to a hand of seven cards. Second, play up to one action card. Third, buy another player a drink by drawing from the drink deck and placing it on their drink-me pile. Fourth, draw the top card of your own drink-me pile and adjust your alcohol content and fortitude accordingly.

Scoring and status are maintained on individual player mats. Fortitude decreases when targeted by harmful actions, starting at twenty and moving toward zero. Alcohol content increases when you drink, starting at zero and moving toward twenty. When fortitude and alcohol content meet, your character passes out and is eliminated.

The game concludes immediately when all players except one have been eliminated. Elimination occurs when a player's alcohol content tracker meets their fortitude tracker, causing them to pass out, or if they run out of gold and are thrown out by the wench.
