These Fields of Blood is a rule set for playing wargames of the American Civil War. The game is designed to play with forces from Brigade to Divisional level, and has the flexibility to play higher and lower level games.

The game uses a unique 'game engine' intended to move players away from tradional 'I-GO-U-GO' systems, and the slow randomness of traditional card based systems, and give a more real simultaneous feel with interaction of the players and forces.

As with other TFP Games, the system reflects the qualities of leadership. The engine creates a system where the pace of action and initiative is determined throughout the turn. Players are forced to make choices and perform actions of which the immediate consequences may not be established. It keeps on your toes every turn.

Players will be able to quickly get to grips with the game as the rules are intuitive and quickly remembered, with several 'playing card' size quick reference cards and Unit Cards providing all you need to manage a game.

A supplement for playing the American War of Independence has been release in PDF format called Land of the Free.
