Time's Up!

To set up the game, first count out 40 cards from the deck. Additionally, add two more cards for each player participating in the game. Once you have the total number of cards, divide them equally among all the players. Each player will then review their cards and decide which names they want to keep for the game, discarding any they don't want to use.

The main objective of Time's Up! is for teams to score the most points by successfully guessing names on cards over the course of three distinct rounds. Each round introduces different restrictions on how clues can be given, making the game progressively more challenging and entertaining.

During a team's turn, one player acts as the clue-giver. They have 30 seconds, timed by an hourglass, to give clues to their teammates to guess as many names as possible from the cards they hold. In Round 1, the clue-giver can say anything. In Round 2, they can only say one word. In Round 3, they cannot say anything and must act out the clues.

For each name that a team correctly guesses within the 30-second time limit, they earn one point. The scores are recorded on a scorepad, tracking points for each team across the three rounds. Incorrect guesses or passes do not result in a penalty, but the card is set aside and can be attempted again later in the round.

The game concludes after all three rounds have been completed. After the scores from all rounds are tallied, the team with the highest total score is declared the winner. The game is designed to be fast-paced and encourages quick thinking and creative clue-giving.
