Trekking Through History

To set up Trekking Through History, place the central board, Large Clock, and Day 1 deck in the middle of the play area. Each player receives a Crystal Tank, an itinerary board, colored scoring pawns, time markers, and starting time crystals. The historical event cards are sorted by day decks, and the ancestry cards are placed near the clock for optional drafting during play.

The main objective of the game is to embark on a three-day historical tour, building continuous chronological card tracks that span from ancient eras to modern times to earn the most victory points by the end of day three.

On your turn, you select a historical event card from the timeline, pay its time cost by moving your marker clockwise around the Large Clock, and add it to your personal track. Taking cards further in the past costs more time, and turn order is determined by whoever is furthest behind on the clock. You collect experience tokens matching the card's icons and place them on your itinerary board to trigger immediate and end-game bonuses.

Scoring happens dynamically when completing rows on your itinerary board and at the end of the game, where you tally points based on the length of your chronological card tracks using the scoring chart, plus bonus points for unused time crystals.

The game concludes at the end of the third day, after all players have completed their respective clock rotations and time allowances for that final day.
