The game board, depicting the Raptor Paddock, is placed in the center. Players then place their hero and sidekick figures on the designated starting spaces indicated on the board. InGen also places their trap tokens on specific spaces as indicated by their character ability.

Unmatched: Jurassic Park – InGen vs Raptors is a skirmish game with no traditional scoring system. Victory is determined solely by eliminating the opponent's key fighters. The game focuses on tactical combat and card management rather than accumulating points.

The game concludes immediately when a player's hero figure is reduced to zero health, or when all of a player's sidekick figures are defeated (in the case of the Raptors, if all three Raptors are defeated). The player whose hero or remaining fighters are still on the board is declared the winner.
