The "Elite" blocksets for Victory: The Blocks of War add additional unit types, and are available in the same player colors as the base game and expansions. Red and blue are the original colors, but green, orange, gray, and black are also available. Note that each color of elite blockset is sold separately, so you'll need at least two elite sets (presumably a red elite, and a blue elite set each to start with) in order to allow play with elite units.

Like the original game's 50 units per side, each Elite blockset has 50 block units, but in 12 new unit types: elite fighters, torpedo bombers, medium bombers, destroyers, cruisers, elite armor, artillery, mechanized, mountain, engineers, marines, supply and resource units.

With the advent of Victory: World War II – Second Edition, elite blocks were included in the game's standard blockset.
