Village Rails

The main goal is to strategically construct a personal railway network across your grid, matching various terrain types, signals, sidings, and completing lucrative trip cards to amass the highest score.

In Village Rails, each player starts with an individual 4x3 grid tableau and 5 pounds. The central market features a deck of track cards and trip cards available for purchase, alongside a shared pool of currency tokens.

During each round, you are required to build at least one track card onto your grid, following placement rules and paying costs if necessary. You also have the option to spend pounds to plan a trip from the market.

Scoring happens when railway lines are completed using terminus cards, awarding points based on trip requirements, terrain types, signals, and remaining pounds. Uncompleted lines earn no points.

The game concludes after 12 rounds once every player's 4x3 grid tableau is fully completed, leading directly into final game scoring and determining the winner.
