Wayfarers of the South Tigris

Begin by assembling the multi-part central board and placing the decks of card types like town, land, water, sky, and inspiration nearby. Draw initial market cards and populate worker spots and resource tokens. Each player receives a player board, starting workers, influence markers, dice, and initial resources. Arrange the general supply of silver and markers, and set the journal token to its starting position.

The main goal is to accumulate the highest number of victory points by exploring the world, mapping land and water, gathering celestial knowledge, recruiting citizens, and progressing your research journal across the Tigris region.

During a turn, a player must choose one of three main actions: placing a die on a board space to trigger actions and resource exchanges, placing a worker on a card to leverage its benefits, or resting to retrieve dice and trigger resting abilities. Players can also upgrade their caravan and manipulate dice values.

End-game scoring awards points for your collected card symbols, journal advancement, upgraded caravan tiles, and the player with the most influence in each of the three colored guilds, as well as specific set collections.

The game's final phase is triggered when a player's journal marker reaches the final space on the track. All players complete their final turn, followed by final scoring to determine the winner.
