Whakaari

Whakaari is an exhilarating party game for 3 to 8 players, and the proud winner of the Italian Game Jam in Naples 2022. Set on a treacherous lava lake, players must jump from platform to platform in a thrilling race to the finish line.

How to Play: Players take turns to check the status of the platform they are on. Depending on the state of the platform, they may need to draw an event card and resolve its effects. If the player survives the event, they can then play one of their cards to jump to another platform. The length of the jump is measured using the sides of the card.

Special Abilities: Each player has a unique special power that can be activated to regain ground on their opponents. These powers add a strategic layer to the game, allowing for dramatic comebacks and exciting turns of events.

Game Objective: The goal is to be the first player to reach the finish line, navigating the perilous platforms and outsmarting opponents with clever use of cards and special abilities.
