Wildcraft!

To set up the game, place the Wildcraft! game board in the center of the playing area. Each player chooses a colored player piece and places it at Grandma's House, the starting point. The spinner is placed within reach of all players. The plant cards, which depict various edible and medicinal plants, are shuffled and placed face down in a designated spot. The trouble cards, illustrating common ailments and the plants that can help, are also shuffled and placed face down in their respective spot.

The main objective of Wildcraft! is a cooperative one: all players must work together to collect two pails of huckleberries per player from the Huckleberry Patch, located at the center of the board. These huckleberries are needed to help Grandma make her special huckleberry pie. The game emphasizes teamwork and mutual assistance rather than individual competition.

During a player's turn, they spin the spinner to determine how many spaces they move along the spiral path on the game board. The path leads up a mountain towards the Huckleberry Patch. Depending on the space landed on, a player might collect a plant card (if it's a harvest spot) or draw a trouble card (if it's a trouble spot). If a trouble card is drawn, players must use plant cards from their hand or receive help from other players to remedy the ailment.

Wildcraft! is a cooperative board game, meaning there is no individual scoring. Players collectively win or lose based on whether they achieve the game's objective. Success is measured by the entire group's ability to gather the necessary huckleberries and overcome any troubles encountered along the way, fostering a sense of shared accomplishment.

The game concludes when all players have successfully reached the Huckleberry Patch and collected their required two pails of huckleberries each. If all players manage to do this, the entire group wins the game. The game can also end if players are unable to resolve a trouble card, leading to a collective loss.
