Dark Rift

Dark Rift is a solo cyberpunk themed micro game that casts you as a private investigator for Cipher, a shadowy agency contracted by a mega-corp to investigate a mysterious murder aboard the passenger transport vessel Charon. Every clue matters. Every decision counts. And in the Rift, trust no one.

At the start of the game, the player selects one of three unique cases to solve—each offering a different level of difficulty and distinct win conditions. A game board is then generated at random, featuring 12 ship locations. Each location is seeded with an Investigate card, which may reveal helpful clues such as motive or method—or potentially lead you astray with a false lead.

To gather clues, players roll dice and attempt to crack a sequence of five keys (higher, lower, or equal). Using the clues you've uncovered, your goal is to identify the murderer before time runs out on your Case Progression Tracker. Solve the case in time, and you win the game.
